How can we have cheap food prices and very
efficient farmers? by government smoothing the variations
and subsidizing farmers
- the system pushes farmers to prioritize yield
at any cost
- large farmers tend to benefit more than small
- government subsidies for ethanol are an
important part of the recent story--so finding non-food uses
for agricultural products
- should we end US programs intended to reduce
production in order to feed a growing world population?
