Facebook taking my privacy
Privacy and Facebook

Are we losing our right to privacy on the Internet and within social networking sites such as Facebook?  Can Intellectual Property laws protect us in these instances? Make sure to clearly outline the framework of Intellectual Property laws and to argue whether you agree or disagree with the issues raised in the controversy over privacy on the web.  If you write on this topic you must focus on intellectual property laws and Facebook, not just write about privacy issues on the internet more broadly.

(this is an interesting article that argues perhaps we want to share everything online)

A website dedicated to sharing your daily life in pictures:

A website where people compulsively write about the things they buy:

A website raising awareness about over sharing:

There are literally dozens of articles about privacy online, these are only a recent selection. There are also a number of sites that encourage sharing like blibby.com and dailybooth.com – I thought it was interesting and maybe said something about our need to share with others and feel important (this is what I’m doing… and you’re reading about it!). Just a thought.
